Hi, I'm Franz
Full-stack developer with 25 years of experience.

I've been building websites since I was 16. My background includes domestic and international agencies as well as Austrian tech companies. Today I work at Playmit, where I'm responsible for the technology and design of the largest free learning and quiz portal for young people starting their careers in Austria. I also take on projects for other companies, from the first idea to a running system.

I've had the chance to work with amazing brands and people all over the world — Google, Red Bull, Microsoft, Honda, Toyota and Adidas. Back in the day I also wrote two children's books and ran a YouTube channel with 1M+ views.

My stack is Laravel, PHP, Vue, Tailwind CSS and MySQL. To be honest, though, the stack doesn't matter to me: I care about results, and I can get up to speed on new things very quickly.

I love learning new concepts and keep educating myself, especially at a time when everything moves this fast. When it comes to AI, I use it as a tool, deliberately, and I always make sure I understand the result and take responsibility for it.

You won't find me on social media: I'm a firm believer in deep work and real outcomes.
